The Mark LT is a redesigned model of the well known Ford F-150 truck but with a more luxury oriented cabin. It succeeds the Lincoln Blackwood pick-up truck which failed in 2002 and which was only offered as a rear wheel drive mode only. Despite Lincoln’s failure with the Blackwood luxury pick-up, the automaker is not giving up on this lucrative segment. In this case, Lincoln is planning to introduce another venture into the luxury pick-up trade and it will be the Mark LT which was showcased in Motor City. Lincoln Mark LT is assembled at Ford’s River Rouge Plant in Dearborn, Michigan in conjunction with Ford’s Cuautitlan Plant in Mexico. This pick-up comes with features similar to those of the F-150 but with an optional all wheel drive. In fact, this model gets the same 300 horsepower 5.4 liter Triton V8 and it comes in four doors just like the F-150. Its first generation lasted from year 2006 to 2008 while its second generation lasted from 2010 to 2014. This redesigned model’s bed will be able to tow about 1620 pounds while the trailer will tow a massive 8900 pounds. The new 2016 Lincoln Mark LT will still be offered in both 4×4 and 4×2 configurations.

The automakers went back to the drawing board to produce a more practical and stylish model which could replace the criticized Blackwood. Indeed, they came up with a more modern pick-up which could be able to withstand the competition in this luxury pick-up segment. This full size crew cub truck does not only have an upscale look, but it comes with a spacious cabin. Similarly, the 2016 Lincoln Mark LT is available in a choice of either a standard wheel base model with 5.5 foot bed, or a longer wheel base model with a 6.5 foot bed in addition to smooth power and ride qualities.
Some optional features include bed-rail caps with running boards, rear power windows, 18 inch chrome wheel, navigation system and rear seats DVD entertainment among others. Its spacious cabin can accommodate five passengers. The recent model comes with quite attractive leather seats which have contrasting colored piping while its gauges are chrome trimmed with Lincoln’s logo on them. The dashboard is quite decorative since the designers have dressed it up using faux wood and leather with an exposed stitching which brings in an additional aspect of refinement.Behind its signature grille lies a 5.4 liter V8 engine which produces 300 horsepower and 365 lb-ft of torque.
